E-Show Videos

Matt: Hey everyone, I’m Matt Armstrong

Jeremy: And I’m Jeremy Bonner and this is another installment of E-Shows.

Matt: Today we are going to be talking about X-Scooter Camera Mounts. There are two kinds of mounts, the universal and Deluxe.

Jeremy: For all the camera and video enthusiasts out there this can be a great way to consolidate all your camera gear onto your scooter. This not only keeps all your gear within eyesight while moving around, but it also keeps your equipment within arm’s reach.

Matt: Being mobile and able to make adjustments on a dive with video or camera and lights can become difficult very quick.  By using these mounts you are making the scooter into a highly mobile tripod.

Jeremy: Both of these mounts are held in place by a heavy duty cam strap. What’s nice about these is that you can tighten them as much as you want and it still will not damage your scooter. The lever is held in place by the tension you put on the strap. No worries about your equipment sliding off.

Matt: The universal mount is great for putting your video or strobe lights on the scooter. With the addition of Ultra Light Arms you can see the array of possibilities.

Jeremy: We left the surface clean because that way you can personalize it to suit your needs perfectly. The mount has a low profile to leave your field of vision, and allowing you to get through tight squeezes easier. You simply need to drill holes for the bolts and you are good to go.

Matt: The Deluxe Mount is tailored for your video or still camera. The 360 degree rotation of the mount makes any camera angle or scene possible. You quickly adjust the mount by loosening the wheel and the mount becomes movable.

Jeremy: To tighten you simply need to twist the wheel back. The way this works is the camera is mounted to an adaptor which is placed in the mount. You tighten the wheel to engage the ball lock mechanism in the mount. The three balls are driven apart by the wheels threads and lock in the adaptor. It is designed so that you can twist the mount as much as you want without fear of losing your equipment.

Matt: Right now we also have 5 custom camera adaptors available along with the universal adaptor. These adaptors perfectly fit the Light & Motion FX1, SR12, HC9, Stingray, and Titan housings. We also have adaptors for Gates small and large camera housings.

Jeremy: These mounts can be used in combination with each other on the same cam strap, so you can use the universal mounts to hold your lighting and the deluxe for your camera.

Matt: Using your scooter as a mobile tripod can be a powerful tool for keeping your equipment at arms reach for smooth adjustments even while scootering.

Jeremy: I hope you learned something new about the X-Scooter Camera Mounts. Be sure to check out our website at www.dive-xtras.com. I'm Jeremy Bonner
