E-Show Videos

Matt: Hey everyone, I’m Matt Armstrong

Jeremy: And I’m Jeremy Bonner and this is another installment of E-Shows.

Matt: Today we are going to be talking about the popular X-Shorts.

Jeremy: These guys are really popular in the tech diving community in the tropics as they allow you to have large pockets without the hassle of trying to glue them onto your dive skin or thin wet suit.

Matt: The pockets fold out like a paper bag to hold any sort of dive accessory you might need and more. They have drain holes on the bottom of the pockets to let water flow freely through the pocket to reduce drag. The pockets also feature Velcro on the sides to expand and contract the pocket depending on how much supplies you need to carry.

Jeremy: The pockets also feature a grommet for securing your supplies with bungie cord as well as the top flap has Velcro. Combined these features make it so it is nearly impossible to lose anything.

Matt: These 3mm neoprene shorts also have some great features, pockets aside. They have a rubberize neoprene materials on all 3 holes that cling to your skin or wetsuit to prevent the shorts from moving on your body.

Jeremy: The waist has an elastic cord run on the inside of the rubberized neoprene for a truly secure fit.

Matt: The sizing on the shorts really depends on the type of suit you are using. If you have a 32 waist with a thin wetsuit your pretty safe with a medium but if you have a thick wetsuit or dry suit you will need at least a large if not a X-large. Make sure to take that into account before you order.

Jeremy: Because these shorts are neoprene, they have some positive buoyancy to them; make sure take that into account when figuring out your trim weight.

Jeremy: I hope you learned something new about the X-Shorts. Be sure to check out our website at www.dive-xtras.com.  I'm Jeremy Bonner
