Real Time Battery Indicator
The X-Ray has huge battery capacity allowing you to do multiple dives without recharging. To complement this it also has features to keep you informed of the battery capacity at all times. Using the latest impedance tracking fuel gauge IC’s, accurate to better than 1%, the X-Ray monitors the battery capacity and informs you via flashes of the LED at strategic times.Learn More >
Reserve Capacity feature
When the light reaches 20% remaining battery capacity it will inform you of this using the battery capacity indication flashes ( as described in the battery capacity indicator section) and then switch automatically to the lowest brightness level. Learn More >Adjustable Intensity
The X-Ray Mk1 gives you the option to use any one of 5 different brightness levels. These light levels are selected via the power switch. When you power the X-Ray on, it starts in brightness level three by default. To go up a brightness level, double click the power switch quickly like a mouse. Thermal Fold back
LED’s generate heat and are sensitive to overheating. To prevent this being a problem the X-Ray has what is called “Thermal Fold back”. The power being pushed through the LED is folded back, or reduced, as the heat increases maintaining it at a safe level. Learn More >

The Gulper
Designed to replace the traditional bolt snap the “Gulper Clip” makes it easier to clip off and stow your light in a package that’s truly integrated with the light head.
Taking inspiration from the Gulper Eel the clip opens extremely wide when the rear lever is depressed allowing you to find the d-ring easily, and when closed, will not open accidentally nor snag a line. The clip is positioned on the light head so when reaching for the light head, preparing to stow, the lever is positioned under your thumb ready to open.
The Gulper Clip can be removed easily or replaced with another accessory.
The Fingerman Handle
The X-Ray's new handle is designed to allow you to hold the light with very minimal impact on movement so you can keep diving and working without interference. The ergonomically molded soft handle fits comfortably between your middle and index finger holding the light head stable on the back of your hand.To ensure a perfect fit with large and small hands, dry gloves and wet gloves, every X-Ray comes with three sizes of Fingerman that can be switched simply by removing two screws.
The concept is also quite adaptable and we have found that each size is comfortable with a wide range of different hand sizes and glove combinations.
Self-Locking Belt Loop
The molded delrin belt loop gives the user two different ways to mount the X-Ray on a waist band or belt loop. Designed for standard 2” webbing the belt loop can either be threaded straight through for quick mounting and removal or woven through the slots which prevents the light sliding off unless deliberately removed.
Minimal Penetrations
Minimizing penetrations is almost one of the ten commandments at Dive Xtras. The more potential leak points (penetrations) you have in a piece of underwater equipment, the higher the risk that one of them may leak. Consequently the reverse is also true, minimize the penetrations and reduce the risk.Most well designed equipment works well no matter how many seals but eventually statistics will catch up with you. If you are an X-Scooter owner you will have most likely benefited from this philosophy, 6 years after launch the number of flooded X-Scooters we have seen is incredibly small..
The Traditional Model
In deference to existing lights and practices, the X-Ray Mk1will also be available in a traditional model. This light will have the Fingerman handle replaced with a more conventional Goodman handle and the Gulper Clip replaced with a utility plate. In this configuration the light head has 4 options for bolt snap mounting:- Rear left tie off point
- Front left tie off point on utility plate
- Goodman tie off point (can be flipped to either the left or right side)
- Rear cable (As traditionally tied)
